Technical Artistry, Modeling, Animation, Concept
Overview
The Technical Artistry, Modeling, Animation, Concept (TAMAC) guild focuses on transforming ideas into immersive, explorable, and tangible digital environments that are skillfully and carefully designed.
About the Guild
The TAMAC guild is a supportive space where members grow as artists and creators inside and out of Next Lab. Using popular industry standard tools like advanced 3D modeling software, Unity, and Unreal, TAMAC guild members use their skills to create and build every 3D and 2D environment shown in each Next Lab project. The guild is dedicated to crafting visually stunning assets and animations that enhance our innovative projects, making sure that they are both functional and captivating. At their weekly meetings, guild members collaboratively address challenges they face in 3D software, ensuring everyone can move forward in their projects with confidence. Beyond problem solving, the TAMAC guild also prioritizes developing and refining artistic skills through workshops, peer feedback, and in-guild creative projects.
Over time, the TAMAC guild has evolved into a hub for individuals who are passionate about the intersection of art and technology and are ready to make an impact. The guild plays a pivotal role in Next Lab’s guild structure by collaborating with other teams to bring concepts to life, from developing game ready characters to designing environments for immersive VR experiences. Every TAMAC project aligns with Next Lab’s mission to empower future focused thinkers and creators while contributing to an ethical and inclusive vision of the future of technology.
Being part of the TAMAC guild offers students invaluable opportunities to gain hands-on experience with industry standard tools and workflows, preparing them for careers in XR, animation, game design, and technical artistry.

Joey
“My time at Next Lab was and is a huge part of shaping how I approach XR development and problem solving. It wasn’t just about learning new tech or mastering software—it was about figuring out how to think differently. Working in that environment pushed me to constantly experiment, iterate, and embrace failure as part of the process. I got to collaborate with people who brought unique perspectives to the table, and that really opened my eyes to how diverse ideas can elevate a project.”
